Data Quality Lead

Role Description

You will join a newly established Data Management function and will partner with data owner, stewards, consumers and IT to make sure data is reliable, timely, accurate and compliant. You will review the end-to-end data life-cycle and identify global data quality requirements and implement data quality profiling, monitoring and remediation to ensure data quality is fit for purpose

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish data quality framework including definition of processes, data quality metrics, roles and responsibilities
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation in data sourcing to improve quality of data
  • Implement data quality monitoring tool and write DQ business rules to measure the quality of data along DQ dimensions such as completeness, accuracy, timeliness etc.
  • Build intuitive dashboard to visualise and report data quality at various level
  • Establish and operate the process for Data Quality Issue management; own the DQ issue log and support data champions in root cause analysis
  • Monitor data quality, investigate exceptions and threshold breaches, and lead the implementation of remediating solutions
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly data quality report for the management and data management council
  • Liaise with Change team to ensure appropriate data quality controls are implemented in the systems
  • Support the Head of Data in promoting and enhancing data culture across the organisation

Position Attributes and Responsibilities

  • Effective change management skills – ability to guide the organisation through the change to build strong data culture
  • In depth understanding and experience of data management principles with a strong focus on data quality and data governance
  • Proven experience in implementation of DQ Monitoring tools including visualisation of data quality at various levels
  • Experience in building reports / dashboards on data analytics tools such as Tableau, Qlik
  • Excellent communication skills, proven track record of managing senior stakeholders, and ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of SQL with ability to query complex datasets
  • Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) would be beneficial but not essential
