Job Description / Position Responsibilities

Partners Capital are looking for a part-qualified Finance Associate to join their London-based team. The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the below:

  • Taking a primary role in the management of finance related activity for subsidiary businesses in either Asia or mainland Europe
  • Preparation and review of monthly payroll processes
  • Preparation of monthly management account information
  • Managing the audit for regional subsidiary entities
  • Participate in the quarterly budgeting and forecasting process
  • Responsible for subsidiary client billing cycles and fee calculations
  • Organisation and management of supplier invoice payments, escalating any issues where necessary
  • Preparation of regulatory reporting to regional authorities
  • Maintenance of the firm’s employee expenses system including the processing of expenses
  • Perform regular and detailed bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Responsible for input of accounting data, including journal entries, into the firm’s financial systems

Attributes / Required Skills

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Finance Associate to join our team, and this role is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to expand their Accounting and Finance knowledge and continue working towards their Accounting exams whilst gaining practical experience.

The successful candidate will ideally have the below attributes:

  • Will have obtained a Bachelor’s degree. We accept any core degree subject but the candidate must have proven mathematical, organisational, and logical skills and, ideally, this qualification will have included Finance or Accounting modules
  • Be focused on becoming an Accounting professional and be studying towards the ACCA or CIMA qualifications. Study support will be made available as appropriate.
  • Approximately 1-2 years’, or equivalent, experience in a Finance related role
  • Experience within, or an understanding of, the Financial Services industry would be advantageous
  • Will have proven experience using Microsoft Office, and must have strong Excel skills as well as experience using an accounting system or programme
  • Knowledge of SAP Business by Design would be highly desirable
  • Will be able to interact with stakeholders across multiple locations, levels, and business functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
