Job Description / Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the below:

  • Input of accounting data including journal entries
  • Processing supplier and customer invoices
  • Organisation and maintenance of accounting records
  • Preparation of customer and group internal invoices
  • Credit control and supplier reconciliations
  • Assistance with regulatory returns
  • Maintenance of the firm’s employee expenses system including the processing of expenses
  • Assisting with United Kingdom, France, United States, Singapore and Hong Kong Audits
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Other ad-hoc tasks

Attributes / Required Skills

We are looking for a proactive, motivated and dedicated team player to join our London based Finance team. This person will have a positive, can-do attitude and will be highly discreet as they will regularly be dealing with confidential information. We are looking for someone who is already studying towards their Accounting qualifications, or looking to begin these imminently – study support will be made available, as appropriate. The successful candidate will ideally have the below attributes:

  • Will have obtained a Bachelor’s degree; preferably achieving 2:1 or above. We accept any core degree subject but the candidate must have proven mathematical, organisational and logical skills and ideally, this qualification will have included Finance or Accounting modules
  • Be focused on becoming an Accounting professional and will either be already studying or looking to undertake ACCA / CIMA qualifications
  • Approximately 1-2 years, or equivalent, experience in a Finance related role
  • Experience within, or an understanding of, the Financial Services industry would be advantageous
  • Will have proven experience using Microsoft Office, and must have strong Excel skills as well as experience using an accounting system or programme
  • Knowledge of SAP Business by Design would be highly desirable
  • Will be able to interact with stakeholders across multiple locations, levels and business functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
