Position Description

Partners Capital is seeking a talented Senior Associate to join our Boston office as a member of the Global Transformation Office. The Transformation Office was established in 2020 to oversee and manage the most important operational, business and technology projects needed to deliver the Firm’s long-term vision. As a fast growing, 300+ person company, we seek someone who is motivated, a self-starter, adaptable and comfortable working on a small team in an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing entrepreneurial environment.

The Transformation Senior Associate will be working on Partners Capital’s business critical delivery projects which predominantly relate to Client Relationship Manager (CRM), Execution and Portfolio Management System (PMS) platforms. Across these projects, the Transformation Senior Associate will work with key business stakeholders to actively elicit requirements, and design solutions to solve them from a functional perspective. The Transformation Senior Associate will work with, and translate, business requirements and functional designs into technical parlance for internal and external (including vendor) development teams. The Transformation Senior Associate may also become involved in CRM configuration for a range of strategic initiatives.

The Transformation Senior Associate will be working directly with Investment Research, Client Operations and Investment CIO team members and must have a flexible and entrepreneurial approach to their work with an appetite for challenges.

Position Responsibilities

  • Led requirements gathering, solution design, and UAT for projects
  • Analysis and integration of information from disparate sources to produce insights as inputs into the transformation roadmap, and individual projects.
  • Business analyst support into both BAU and project delivery for DealCloud CRM; Execution system; and eventually portfolio management system
  • Assess operational, regulatory and business needs and requirements to respond to the Firm’s growth and to ensure successful outcomes.  
  • Identify process gaps, resource needs and technology requirements. 
  • Assess third-party solutions and evaluate the impact of new products or business initiatives.
  • Define solutions to address potential shortcomings. 
  • Assist on project plans to ensure the successful implementation of tactical and strategic initiatives, including the identification of milestones, deadlines, critical path items and resource requirements. Work with Transformation office team and business to develop the business case for new projects.
  • Dive in to help where needed.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in project management or process re-engineering with experience implementing complex, multi-faceted projects and initiatives in Financial Services, Business Consulting or Finance Technology based organizations
  • Led requirements gathering, solution design, and UAT for projects
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies, such as Agile, Six Sigma and Prince2. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Experience managing up and partnering with senior leaders.
  • A team player with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, global working environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and consensus with peers and senior leaders.
  • An intellectually curious self-starter who is energized by contributing to the success of the business.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work as part of a larger project team, with multiple stakeholders and sponsors, but also to work effectively independently where required
  • The ability to understand and query relational databases and programming languages (for example, but not limited to, SQL, Python, Java)
  • Undergraduate degree
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Visio).
  • Financial Services experience is a plus, but not required.
