Position Responsibilities

Portfolio Management (65%): You will initially be allocated ten to twelve investment portfolios which will cover a range of institutional and family office clients. Examples of our institutional clients include the endowments of INSEAD Business School, Eton College the V&A Museum and The Metropolitan Opera of New York. In Europe, our client portfolios are largely managed on a fully discretionary basis by teams of three to six people. The role of the portfolio management team is to specify, develop and ensure execution of clients’ investment strategies. This involves, among other things, the setting of long-term asset allocation strategy, the selection of approved investment funds to achieve this strategy, the ongoing monitoring, management and continual improvement of the investment line-up, and the production of materials for client meetings to report on investment performance and discuss investment strategy. With support and training, we expect you to grow into a position to be able to attend these meetings and develop relationships with clients.

Business Development (25%): You will assist with business development and support the other members of our Paris office as we strengthen and expand our business in continental Europe. In this respect, your role will be primarily focused on preparing pitch materials, mapping the prospective clients’ universe, carrying out market research and preparing reports which will help guide the team’s business development strategy. In due course you will be expected to take a more proactive role and participate in meetings with prospective clients.

Other (10%): Assisting with other projects within the business which could include recruiting, training, portfolio construction research, mentoring, team events, IT development, manager DD, or a project for the research team amongst other things.
