Role Description

The candidate will assist with all aspects of day-to-day operations for the Partners Capital private fund of funds, or pooled vehicles. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fund accounting, fund operations, and/or fund audits and may have recently qualified as an accountant.

The successful applicant should be ready for wide-ranging responsibilities in multiple areas and will be expected to be flexible and willing to contribute to the firm’s continued success.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establish and manage relationships with third party service providers (auditors, administrators, custodians, lawyers) in Europe.

• Understand and implement operational requirements for managing Luxembourg based private funds.

• Review and reconcile net asset value (NAV) reporting prepared by the third-party fund administrators.

• Act as a project manager for strategic and tactical operations projects to support the rapidly growing firm.

• Support the client and research teams through review and analysis of performance reporting and fund data.

• Assist with and oversee private equity and hedge fund operations for $13 billion+ AUM within the 70+ multi-asset class pooled vehicles, including launching new funds annually.

• Support all pooled vehicle related communications and interactions with the global firm and third-party providers. Act as the “information hub” of the organisation and serve as a brand ambassador for the firm through management of the team inbox. Collaborate with other teams and service providers to research and problem solve for clients.

• Review, mentor and coach associates on the team. Support the recruiting process as the team continues to expand.

Position Attributes

As a fast growing, 280+ person company, we are looking for someone who is detailed oriented, driven and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once. The candidate must possess an outstanding track record of accomplishments and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Will be a graduate preferably with a 2.1 or 1.1 from a reputable university with a core degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related area.

• Strong GCSE’s and have achieved at least an A grade in core subjects. • Experience working in fund accounting or audit. An audit background, preferably with financial services audit experience of Luxembourg private funds is desirable.

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) is desirable but not essential. The role would suit someone who is either in process or planning on taking an accountancy qualification.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Have the ability to work independently and help the team manager build out new processes and procedures in the London team as well as assist with global team projects.

• Strong communication skills and ability to quickly build trust and manage relationships.

• Comfortable with data analysis and have strong technical acumen, specifically in Microsoft Excel. VBA and SQL are a plus.

• Highly motivated and proactive, anticipates what should be done to drive the business forward.

• Excellent organisational and project management skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and able to balance multiple competing timelines and projects.

• Team player who is very comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial company.

• Be highly discreet the role requires the team to deal with a lot of confidential and sensitive information.

• Have a mature, professional and responsible outlook.
