Position Description

The Trade Operations Analyst located in Boston will support and work closely with senior members of the Portfolio Operations Team and the Client Service Team. Primary responsibilities will center on supporting the firm’s clients through the completion of investment execution. The candidate will be responsible for investment execution across asset classes, including cash management, mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity funds. As key stakeholders of investment execution, Trade Operations team members are expected to have a high degree of attention to detail and understanding our execution policies and procedures.

The candidate will be an integral member of the global Client Operations Team, with broad scope for progression into multiple specialist functions within the team. The role has a wide-ranging responsibility that involves working closely with the Client Service Team. The candidate should be hardworking and must be able to interact with colleagues and third parties, prioritizing and completing multiple tasks and meeting key investment deadlines.

Client Investment Execution:

  • Support the Client Service Team in the implementation of approved client portfolio actions
  • Prepare complete and accurate investment documentation for client execution (e.g. alternative investment legal documents, brokerage applications)
  • Setup wire transfers for cash funding obligations (e.g. capital calls and other cash movements)
  • Liaise directly with custodians, fund administrators and other providers to ensure client investments are implemented accurately, efficiently, and on a timely basis
  • Monitor and respond to AML/KYC requirements for alternative investment transactions
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded and tracked accurately using in-house systems

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to assigned client teams on all execution-related inquiries and requests
  • Assist with the collection and maintenance of client files, such as AML/KYC documentation
  • Support the operational management of Partners Capital’s multi-asset class pooled vehicles by preparing trade instructions and documentation for investment execution

Key responsibilities will be regularly assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications/Attributes

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. The candidate must possess an outstanding track record of accomplishments and strong interpersonal, communication, and client service skills.

  • Up to 2 years prior work experience. Investment operations experience is preferred, but not required
  • Undergraduate degree (any field). Strong GPA and SAT scores
  • High degree of attention to detail and experience inputting and reviewing large sets of data
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
  • Articulate self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workloads while working efficiently and accurately
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player who is willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to the success of the business
  • Comfortable receiving and providing feedback from/to direct manager and Partners
