Rosalind Hewsenian currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer of the $8.3B Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. The Trust is dedicated to healthcare and medical research.
Ms. Hewsenian has had a more than 40-year investment and business career and prior to her work at Helmsley, was CEO and a member of the Board of Clay Finlay LLC, a $2B global equity investment firm based in New York. Earlier, she was a Principal at Wilshire Associates in Santa Monica, CA for 21 years, where she served as a Managing Director, Senior Investment Consultant and was a member of the Board. She was also lead consultant to CalPERS and was instrumental in the strategic direction of its investment program, which achieved full funding on a market value basis during her work with the System. She also held investment and operating positions at PepsiCo and Kraft General Foods, where in 1982 she successfully installed one of the first 401K plans in the country. Ms. Hewsenian has served on The Foundation Financial Officers Group Board of Directors, and on the Investment Advisory Committee of Los Angeles Capital Management. She also was an advisor to The Investments Sub-Committee of the SUNY Oneonta College Foundation Board. Roz has an MBA in Finance, awarded with Distinction, from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. She earned a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta and was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters in May 2017 by SUNY for her life’s work and service to the State University.
