Role Description & Responsibilities

Portfolio Management (50%): You will initially be allocated eight to ten investment portfolios which will cover a range of institutional and family office clients. The aim of the portfolio management team is to specify, develop and ensure execution of clients’ investment strategies in line with their long-term targets and goals. You will be expected to be gain deep understanding of investment trends in all traditional and alternative asset classes, as well as sophisticated tools for portfolio construction and management. In helping manage these portfolios you will work in close teams where you have direct exposure and interactions with client managers who have multiple decades of experience, either within Partners Capital or other highly respected global investment institutions. With their support and training, we expect you to grow into a position to be able to build and develop impactful relationships with clients.

Investment Origination, Execution and Monitoring within Private Markets (30%): You will join our Private Markets team and will be responsible for research to identify promising investment opportunities and conducting due diligence on asset managers for deployment of our global clients’ capital base. Your role in manager due diligence will result in you having exposure and direct access to some of the most seasoned and high-quality asset managers in the world, given our size and client base has us sought out as an investment partner. As such we expect our investment associates to display a significant level of maturity and gravitas. Over time you will be expected to develop one or more specialist areas of expertise, manage relationships with managers in those areas and be able to identify and sponsor new investments in those areas through the investment process.

Other (20%): Our business is high growth and highly entrepreneurial in nature. In addition to the above, you will, for variety, take on other activities and projects, which might include: researching and improving our portfolio construction knowledge and approach, assisting with business development, or helping to develop our technological capabilities.

Attributes / Required Skills

You need not have worked within the investment management industry, but you will have worked in a professional services role (e.g. within management consulting, investment banking, or accounting) and have a passion for investing.
