Private Markets Reporting Associate
Position Description
The Associate will join our Boston office as a member of the Research Operations team. This individual will be a key part of the team responsible for collecting and maintaining private markets manager data and producing reporting for internal and external stakeholders. The primary focus of this role will be collection and maintenance of schedule of investments (“SOI”) data, operating metrics, and calculation and production of performance reports for our proprietary pooled vehicles and composite track records across our Private Equity, Private Debt, Directs and Secondaries investment programs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Managing the quarterly private markets manager data collection process, including tracking completion rate by asset class and strategy and proactive follow-up on missing data
- Preparation and review of quarterly track records including creation and maintenance of composites
- Liaising with the managed data service team at our primary data collection providers
- Identifying and implementing process changes to improve deliverable efficiency, quality and/or depth
- Maintenance of exposure data in internal systems and obtaining sign-offs for updates where appropriate
- Preparation and review of quarterly track records to support our private markets program, Board reporting, business development or other uses as needed with a high degree of accuracy and responsiveness
- Reconciliation of cash flows and other manager data between internal and external platforms with proactive issue resolution
- Development of standard reporting templates for performance and exposures, supporting the evolving needs of our research and client-facing teams
The Associate will play a significant role in continued development of the firm’s private markets performance reporting platform. The Associate is expected to gain exposure to and have a full understanding of our investment process and to develop an understanding of all parts of the business. The Associate will also be expected to contribute to broader Firm development through participation in specific projects or initiatives. Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships is critical to success in this role.
Key responsibilities may be assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team
- Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels
Qualifications / Attributes
The ideal candidate is:
- Passionate about data and reporting
- Always looking to improve processes and willing to “get their hands dirty”
- Energized by a fast-paced environment
- Intellectually curious and energized by the prospect of solving business-wide operational challenges
- 1-3 years of experience in reconciliations, investment performance reporting, manager exposure data management, or other high-accuracy, data intensive role
- Experience calculating investment performance and attribution (TR and IRR) preferred
- Demonstrated interest in finance and investment data
- Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail required

Massachusetts requires Partners Capital to include a reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role. This base salary range is specific to individuals applying to work in our Massachusetts office and takes into account a number of factors. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $65,000 – $95,000. The base salary offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
The base salary is one element of our competitive compensation package. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives and our profit share program.
