David Puth is the Vice Chairman North America at Partners Capital and joined the firm in 2024. Based in Boston and New York, he is responsible for working with the senior management team to support the strategic direction of the firm and advise on other key initiatives.

David’s career spans more than three decades of leadership in financial markets, payments and technology. David was the CEO of Centre, a company that developed fiat-backed digital currencies. Prior to joining Centre, he served as CEO of CLS Group, an FSOC Designated Systemically Important Financial Market Utility supporting the global foreign exchange market. From 2008-2011, David was the Head of Global Markets at State Street Bank in Boston and a member of the bank’s Operating Committee and before that, he spent 19 years at JPMorgan, where he served on the Executive Committee and led the Global Currency, Commodity and Emerging Markets businesses. He has held leadership positions with industry bodies at the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England and the BIS and has worked extensively with policy makers on risk management, regulatory and policy issues.

David has held board positions on public, private and non-profit organizations. He currently serves on the boards of the Robin Hood Foundation and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. He is a graduate of Tufts University.
