Position Responsibilities

Client Investment Strategy (80%): You will initially be allocated 12 to 15 investment portfolios which will cover a range of institutional and family office clients. Example institutional clients include the endowments of the V&A Museum, Eton College and INSEAD Business School. In London, the portfolios are largely managed on a fully discretionary basis by teams of three to six people. The aim of the portfolio management team is to specify, develop and execute our clients’ investment strategies. This will involve, among other things, the setting of long-term asset allocation targets, the evaluation and selection of third-party investment managers, the design and oversight of derivative overlay strategies, the research and generation of tactical asset allocation ideas, and attendance at client meetings to report on investment performance and discuss investment strategy. We expect you to swiftly progress to the role of Investment Principal and will provide you with the support and training you need to make the transition.

Other (20%): In addition to the above, you will, take on other activities and projects, which might include: coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, interviewing Investment Associate candidates, participating in pitches to prospective clients, performing due diligence on third-party investment managers, co-authoring investment strategy White Papers and helping to develop our technological capabilities.

You will be responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team. You will ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels.

Attributes

We are looking for an intellectually curious team player with a strong desire to further our reputation for excellence. You will have good problem-solving and interpersonal skills and thrive in a collaborative working environment. You will have graduated with a 1st or upper 2nd class degree in an academic subject from a leading university. As we are proponents of lifelong learning, you will be keen to commit to further professional development (e.g., obtaining the CFA qualification), which we will support.
