Position Description

The Pooled Vehicle Associate – Fund Regulatory Solutions will assist with all aspects of the audit, tax, and regulatory reporting for the Partners Capital private fund of funds, or pooled vehicles. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in fund of fund tax and/or audits. The successful applicant should have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and be ready for wide ranging responsibilities.  Candidates will be expected to be agile in coordinating with various team across the firm to contribute to the firm’s continued success. The candidate will report to the Head of Fund Regulatory Solutions in Boston.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with all regulatory, audit, and rax reporting for $15 billion+ AUM within 80+ multi-asset class pooled vehicles. Prepare various compliance, banking and lending documents for review and signature.
  • Act as a project contributor for regulatory projects to support the rapidly growing firm, with a focus on client solutions, automation and data management.
  • Initiate outreach and follow up with third parties related to quarterly and annual deliverables, including but not limited to audits, tax filings and diversification reporting.
  • Manage all pooled vehicle related communications and interactions with the global firm and third-party providers. Act as the “information hub” of the organization and provide solutions to internal teams related to our funds.

Key responsibilities may be assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications / Attributes

As a fast growing, 350+ person company, we seek someone who is dynamic, detail oriented, driven and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once. The candidate must possess an outstanding track record of accomplishments and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related area.
  • Approximately one to two years’ of relevant experience working in private funds.
  • Prior experience at an Accounting or Consulting firm would be advantageous.
  • Focused on becoming an Accounting professional and will either be part-way through their qualification, or with the view to starting these (ACCA/CIMA).
  • General knowledge of various financial products and investment strategies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort with data analysis and strong technical acumen, specifically in Microsoft Excel. VBA and SQL are a plus.
  • Highly motivated and proactive, anticipates what should be done to drive a task to completion.
  • Very strong organizational and project management skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player who is very comfortable working in an entrepreneurial company.
